John Weinstein, County Treasurer stopped by this morning to talk about the county drink tax and the shutting down of 4 bars for not paying and also about the property tax and that reassessments are coming and how the people can deal with the property tax assessment.

Rep Joe Markosek talks to Rob about how the government is trying to get a handle on not just kids but adults also texting and talking when they are driving. They talked also about the governments role in the port authority and how they have to be involve in the process.

Anne Madarasz, museum Division Director at the Heinz History Center joined Rob to talk about the newest exhibit coming to the history center. A seldom seen collection of artifacts is coming to Pittsburgh in the “Vatican Splendor: A Journey Through Faith and Art” exhibit. The Exhibit will run from October 1st-January 9th.

Rep. Jim Marshall stopped by Sunday morning to talk about the hot topic these days,Marcellus Shale. Jim Marshall will be having a meeting later this month on marcellus Shaleon Thursday August 26th at 6PM in Chippewa. Also he has his kids expo coming up on August 28th from 10-1. Take a listen.

Jim got up early to talk about important issues Pennsylvania is dealing with. Rep Christiana says creating jobs is important to fixing the economy. He also says that government can’t just keep raising taxes and school consolidation is a way to save money.
